October is Dysautonomia Awareness Month

support for hypermobile people

To celebrate dysautonomia awareness month, the EDS society has teamed up with Supacore to offer you 20% off their compression garments until the end of October 2026.

Supacore’s Coretech® garments combine graduated leg compression with targeted support around the abdomen, pelvis, and lower back, bringing these areas together in one garment.

They help you find the right support to;
  • Improve athletic performance
  • Aid in injury recovery
  • Manage your POTS symptoms
  • Support lipodema
  • Support your pregnancy or post-partum recovery

Compression garments are suited for those who has orthostatic intolerance. Some people with hypermobility experience dysautonomia in the form of orthostatic intolerance. Orthostatic intolerance means that you may have symptoms that occur when you stand up or are upright.

The two most common types of orthostatic intolerance are:

  1. Orthostatic hypotension (OH) — where you experience low blood pressure on being upright.
  2. Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) — where you experience a racing heart rate when standing up without a drop in blood pressure.

Testing can be carried out by your G.P or physio to determine what type of intolerance you have. It is often recommended you use compression garments to help manage your symptoms.

Talk to your health care provider about what type will suit you best and check out the supacore website for styles.
