Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Gold Coast
Physiotherapy built around how your body actually moves
You don’t have to be a performer to attend musculoskeletal physiotherapy sessions with us. The same principles we’ve spent 17 years applying to professional artists also applies to you. Having a trained eye from assessing movement in dancers and acrobats means we notice compensations and technique faults that a general check-up can miss. You will experience treatment in a private, fully equipped rehabilitation space. We are proud to offer care that fits your life. Whether your goal is picking up your kids pain-free or getting back to weekend sport, your plan is built around what you need to get back to.
Areas treated include;
- neck and back pain
- troublesome hips
- sore shoulders
- cranky knees
- dodgy ankles
- muscle strains
- ligament sprains
- old sporting injuries
- post-surgical rehabilitation
What to expect at Artistic Sports Physio
Thorough Assessment
We offer a one hour initial consultation. This gives us time to discuss your history and screen how you move thoroughly, so we’re treating the cause of the pain, not just where it hurts.
Hands-on Treatment
We use hand-on evidence based techniques and have many tools in our tool box when it comes to treatment techniques. They include manual therapy, trigger point dry needling and soft tissue work to settle pain and restore movement early.
Movement Retraining
With the use of our clinic gym, we can use clinical Pilates and weighted gym equipment for targeted and progressive loaded exercise to correct the mechanics that led to the injury.
A plan
A home program and load plan so the improvement holds after your sessions finish.

No. While we’re known for our work with the performing arts industry, most of our musculoskeletal caseload is everyday Gold Coast locals — office workers, tradespeople, parents and weekend athletes. The same assessment skills apply.
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is physiotherapy focused on your muscles, joints and bones — diagnosing what’s driving your pain or stiffness and treating the cause, not just the symptom, so the improvement lasts.
No. A physiotherapist is a primary care practitioner, so no referral is required. If you’ve been referred by a GP or another allied health professional, bring any correspondence along to your first session.
We’ll take a history, discuss your goals, and run a physical assessment of the affected area and how it moves. You’ll leave with a clear explanation of what’s going on and the start of a treatment plan.
It depends on the injury and how long it’s been going on. Some people feel real change in two or three sessions; others, particularly post-surgical or long-standing issues, benefit from an ongoing plan. We’ll be upfront with you about what to expect.
